Kellie Pickler is in mourning after discovering her 49-year-old spouse dead.
He rescued her after her parents left her, but he was helpless to save himself.
The day before he passed away, he left a heartfelt note, but it was the last one.
Former “American Idol” finalist Kellie Pickler won over the show’s judge, Simon Cowell, with her vocals. In 2007, the musician’s debut record, “Small Town Girl,” earned her a nomination for a Country Music Association Award.
The “American Idol” singer published a photo of herself and her husband in a happier moment in March 2017. The celebrity revealed that June 15 was one of her most treasured days because it was both the day her husband proposed and her grandmother’s birthday.

Jacobs took Pickler to Rosemary Beach in Florida on that day in 2010, telling her it was just a vacation. Pickler subsequently battled depression. However, they enjoyed a special supper together in the evening before going for a stroll on the sand at dusk.
She discovered a tiny wooden box that the musician had hidden in the sand but was unaware of because it appeared to have washed ashore. When Pickler opened it, she found an engagement band, a seashell with “Faye” written on it, a journal that Jacobs had written for her, and the name of her grandmother.

They viewed the sunset slowly after she screamed “yes” when he got down on one knee to pop the question. Ironically, Jacobs had no idea that it was Faye’s birthday that day, and it seemed as though the late grandma was endorsing them.
Pickler remembered in February 2011 that she and Jacobs had almost finished organizing their wedding when they realized they loathed half the people on the guest list.
In order to get married on the beach on New Year’s Day, the pair abandoned their plans and eloped to Antigua in the Caribbean. Pickler continued, “We totally just put faith in God that it was all going to work out, and it did, and it was the most incredible day of my life.” The songwriter’s wife only brought her wedding dress and an outfit for him to their special day.
Their wedding date, “1-1-11,” and the phrase “Put it back on!” were inscribed on Jacobs’ wedding band so that he would always remember the message. Sadly, because he had suddenly left, he would no longer wear the ring.
A Day Before His Death, Kellie Announced Good News: What Happened?
On February 17, 2023, Jacobs’ body was discovered at their residence in Nashville, Tennessee. The Metropolitan Nashville Police Department (MNPD) received a 911 call from the home at 1:21 p.m. on the day the songwriter, 49, was believed to have committed suicide.
Jacobs was discovered by the fire department in the upstairs office or bedroom, deceased from a gunshot wound. Not long after the event, which the MNPD said they were investigating as an apparent suicide, the singer woke up.
Pickler said that when she went to search for her husband after not seeing him, her personal assistant was unable to open the door to the upstairs room and had to dial 911. When they got there, the Nashville Fire Department and the cops discovered the songwriter “deceased.”
Sadly, Jacobs posted a professional milestone on Instagram the day before he passed away. In his final post, Pickler’s spouse noted that Lee Brice’s fifth studio album, “Hey World,” had achieved platinum status and thanked those who had helped make it happen.
The artist expressed his “deep honor” at being a “creative component” of the album. Jacobs’ passing was heartbreaking because he made his wife’s life worthwhile but didn’t do the same for himself.
The husband of Kellie saved her but failed to save himself.
Pickler broke down while singing “I Wonder,” a ballad about a missing mother, on November 7, 2007. At that point, it became evident that the singer battled depression brought on by a traumatic family background.

When she was two years old, her mother abandoned her in the custody of her incarcerated father. He was erratic in his parenting, though, so she was primarily raised by her paternal grandparents and reconnected with him in 2006 after his release from prison.
When the star [Kellie Picklerparents ]’s were together, it was in a courthouse because she hadn’t seen how a partnership should be.
Pickler’s father was sentenced to prison in July 2007, and fourteen months later, in July 2008. In the autumn of that same year, she struggled with the breakup she had experienced when her relationship with Jordin Tootoo came to an end. The performer recalled that period by stating: “I was lonely and depressed. I fell off the face of the earth and buried myself in work.”
Even though the musician’s mother discussed her decision to leave her daughter in numerous appearances, the two never got in touch. Pickler admitted that if her mother had admitted that she hadn’t performed her job well or had simply apologized, Pickler might have been able to forgive her.
The celebrity spoke about how she desired her mother’s presence in her life and the support of her parents as she exited the platform. However, she had grown to understand that she couldn’t change some things and that she would never be able to have the connection she desired with her parents. As a result, she had to grieve, let the hurt and anger come out, and cry.
She met Jacobs a few months after her breakdown, and the two tracks on her new album were written with him. Pickler claimed she was surprised he appeared and that he gave her confidence in who she was.
When the star’s parents were present in the same space, it was in a courtroom because she had never seen how a relationship should be. Jacob would nag her to let him be her pill and console her when she needed Xanax to get through tough times, but he couldn’t save himself.
