Barbara Streisand and her spouse of 24 years, James Brolin, are a successful couple, but they are also admired for how their marriage still appears like a teenage love affair many years later.
The couple met on a blind date, and Streisand stated that Brolin did not appear like the man she had imagined. The singer expected to meet a man with a full head of hair and a beard, but she was shocked to see him bald.

Streisand couldn’t help herself and informed her date his hair was messed up. However, her remark did not drive Brolin away; rather, it made him recognize he had found the one.
Brolin fell in love at first sight, but it took Streisand a few days to fall in love with him. The affection between the two actors grew stronger over time, and they married in 1998.

Streisand was previously married to Elliot Gould from 1961 to 1973, and the couple had a son, Jason. Brolin was married twice, for 20 years to casting director Jane Agee and then for almost ten years to Jane Smithers.
From his prior marriages, Brolin is also a father of three children, Josh, Jess, and Molly Brolin, and a grandfather of four: Eden, Trevor, Westlyn, and Chapel.

Brolin revealed during his CBS interview that they spent three to five hours on the phone while he was shooting in the Philippines. Because cell phones were not widely available then, they relied on a pay phone, which cost $5 per minute. Brolin quipped that he probably spent his entire paycheck talking to his wife.
When asked about what they had been discussing for so long, the actor replied, “teenage crap.” His relationship with Streisand felt like a teenage fantasy, and with each phone call, he imagined her getting lost in their discussion and doing all kinds of random things.

While Streisand and Brolin are in love and living in a blissful bubble, some people doubt their relationship will last. Brolin joked that the first person to question them was an ex-partner, but they are still in paradise 24 years later.
Even during the difficult lockdown that could have terminated other relationships, Brolin gushed about him and Streisand only growing closer.

Perfectly Blending Their Families
Streisand and Brolin had one of the most stunning weddings. John Travolta and his late wife, Kelly Preston, said they wept when they saw their love.
The “Westworld” star couldn’t control his joy, declaring it the happiest day of his life as he hugged his mother, father, children, and grandkids.
The couple’s backyard is beautiful, with flowing water and blooming flora. Brolin attributed his wife with placing each flower precisely. The backyard is so picturesque that it appears to be a movie set, but Brolin insists it is genuine.
Streisand had long wanted to purchase their house, but it took her eleven years. The singer meticulously planned every detail to create a dream house for her husband and their dog.

Streisand and Brolin have successful jobs, and the actor is proud to have a woman who can hold her ground. As a result, Brolin revealed that he and his wife had chosen to open separate bank accounts.
While this may surprise some, the actor reasoned that since this was his third marriage, he did not want to do anything that would lead to another split.
Brolin also said one of the essential things he instilled in his marriage was to have what he called a “referee,” a therapist who can mediate as they speak through their troubles. As a result, he firmly stated that he and Streisand had done an excellent job of getting to the bottom of things.
The couple’s union remains shrouded in mystery after more than two decades. Brolin admitted that he is always in for a surprise when he returns home. Streisand will text him to rush back, and a special gift will await him.
He enjoys thanking his wife because he is always treated well. The actor explained that he occasionally keeps his surprises intriguing by giving Streisand a piece of jewelry. Brolin admitted that his wife is picky about her jewelry, and his selections were hit or miss.
Aside from gifting each other, the couple enjoys going on dates and doing various activities to spend quality time together. Streisand was observed looking as stunning as ever for her romantic date with Brolin in Italy, holding a bouquet of red roses.
The pair also enjoys swimming together as a form of exercise. They then relax in the sauna and cool off in an ice tank.
The couple also enjoys their position as grandparents. Streisand posted an adorable photo of herself, Brolin, and their granddaughter Westlyn, expressing how thrilled they were to spend time with her. Streisand also shared a cute photo of Westlyn sitting inside a kitchen drawer while her grandma fed her.
In another post, the singer shared a photo of Westlyn playing with her hat and divulged an interesting fact. She stated that one of her son Jason’s first words was “hat,” as was Westlyn’s.
