At a hockey game in 1994, Candace Cameron Bure and Valeri Bure fell in love. And on June 22, 1996, two years later, they married and became a couple.
Even after over 20 years of marriage, the couple remains deeply in love and works hard to maintain the spark.
Their marriage was lighthearted, evidenced by a story Bure shared on Instagram. Unfortunately, some viewers viewed the humor as “inappropriate,” and the actress received a lot of flak.
Moreover, Bure remained steadfast in the face of criticism. Instead, she risked and shared the image on her Instagram. The woman posted two images of her and her husband expressing their love’s “sweet and spicy” nature. In the second image, Valerie holds his wife by the shoulder and places his hand on her chest.
Fans complained to her that the image was too “racy” for a “Christian star” of her caliber. The actress, though, had a retort for those incensed. I’m sorry if it offended you, “Sorry if it offended you. I’m not sorry,” she said while laughing in a follow-up video shared on her Instagram stories. “I’m glad we have fun together after so many years.”
She said she was merely demonstrating what a 24-year “happy and healthy marriage” looked like.
“It makes me laugh because it’s my husband,” she further explained in her follow-up Instagram story video. “He can touch me whenever he wants, and I hope he does.”
