Successful singer-songwriter Carrie Underwood has always remained true to her values. One of them was to save money until she got married. She wedded Mike Fisher at 27 three years after committing. Despite everything they’ve been through, they now enjoy a happy marriage and two kids.
Since she was raised in a traditional Christian home, Carrie Underwood has always valued her faith. Devout Christians, her family attended church not only to pray and learn more about God but also to feel a feeling of community.
Many of Underwood’s decisions in life, including saving herself for marriage, were heavily influenced by her upbringing and beliefs.
The “Jesus Take the Wheel” performer said she intended to be chaste and forego sexual activity until her wedding night in 2007. Thankfully, it only took a few years for her to get married to Mike Fisher.
Underwood could have been more confident around men, and after her romance with Drake Clark, her undergraduate sweetheart, she struggled to find love.
They didn’t get back in touch bodily for three months. On New Year’s Eve 2008, the same day they had their first smooch, the couple went on their first date.
Although she dated a few men while advancing her profession, such as Tony Romo and Chace Crawford, none could compare to her love for Fisher.
Mark Childers, Underwood’s bassist, fixed them up on a blind date, which is how they got to know one another. Fisher was a Canadian National Hockey Association player at the time, and Underwood lived in Tennessee. If the blind date went well, a long-distance relationship was their final destiny.
The two met backstage at one of her performances, and although the singer was originally dubious about the arrangement, she couldn’t deny the chemistry they shared. Despite living far apart, they kept in touch via frequent phone calls and texts.
While Underwood was performing worldwide and developing new songs, Fisher was advancing his NHL career in Canada and becoming a major star in the port sector.
They didn’t get back in touch bodily for three months. On New Year’s Eve 2008, the same day they had their first smooch, the couple went on their first date. According to Underwood, “our first kiss was when the ball fell,” Taste of Country reported. He doesn’t do a lot of Affection, and we were in front of people.
Being apart wasn’t easy, but both were well-known public figures who understood their obligations to their separate professions and the trade-offs necessary for success. Fisher shared Underwood’s independence and preference for solitude. She uttered:
“We can go weeks without seeing each other. He’s the only guy I’ve never had to worry about. Any guy I’ve ever dated, there would always be that doubt […].”
They could maintain their long-distance connection because Fisher never gave her any reason to doubt him.
Along with other similarities, Underwood and Fisher are Christians. Like her, he also grew up in a Christian home before fame. At six years old, Fisher wished to pray on his own, and by 17, he left home to join the Ontario Hockey League. However, his confidence suffered as he stepped outside his comfort zone.

When Fisher experienced his first taste of fame, his internal conflicts got worse. He made hasty choices and disregarded religion. “My life was transformed through praying and getting in the word with my cousin,” he said.
The pair had a strong spiritual connection and recognized the value of religion in their union, which is now a significant aspect of their marriage.
Together, they engaged in activities like perusing the Bible, discussing their devotions and considering how God’s word applied to their lives. “Our spiritual bond is something we try to put first in our lives,” according to Underwood.

They overcame difficulties as parents, including going through several miscarriages in 2017 and 2018, thanks to their firm faith. They now want to instill the same devotion in their children.
Sheryl Underwood Three miscarriages later, she turned to God for help and direction.
Fisher proposed to Underwood on December 20, 2009, and they have been together ever since. The pair did not hesitate to announce their engagement to their loved ones but remained private until a year later.
On July 10, 2010, the couple exchanged vows in a romantic celebration at the Ritz-Carlton resort in Georgia. The stunning bride wore a diamond tiara, Fisher’s wedding present, and a white Monique Lhuillier gown.
250 people were seated for the service, where they heard the couple’s wedding vows and their verses. During the occasion, Underwood’s mother couldn’t help but become sentimental, saying:
“I was sad because she’s my baby. But I always prayed that she’d find the right person, and I know she did.”
Fisher moved into Underwood’s mansion in Nashville after they got married, and they resided there for almost ten years. The pair relocated to a larger home outside of Nashville in 2019.
Sadly, they experienced the same outcome despite trying again and becoming pregnant in the same year. After it occurred three times in 2018, Underwood got weary.
The pair welcomed Isaiah Michael Fisher as their first child on February 27, 2015. The devoted father expressed his joy to the media during a game-related discussion. Fisher remarked:
“There’s nothing better than being a dad. The important thing is everyone is feeling good, and mom’s feeling good. It’s easier to put a smile on your face when you mention him after a bad game.”
The new mother didn’t lose time introducing her son to the world and shared a precious picture of little Isaiah’s hand and foot on social media. She expressed her gratitude in the post to the Lord for giving them such wonderful kids.
Underwood and Fisher attempted to grow their family in the following years, but sadly, she had three miscarriages. The singer of “Before He Cheats,” who had her first miscarriage in 2017, had faith that everything would work out in God’s timetable.
Sadly, they experienced the same outcome despite trying again and becoming pregnant in the same year. After it occurred three times in 2018, Underwood got weary. She was nonetheless appreciative of all her gifts, particularly Isaiah.
“If we can never have any other kids, that’s okay because he’s amazing,” she said. “I have this amazing life. Like, really, what can I complain about?”
By the fourth pregnancy, Underwood had experienced all the feelings and had expressed them through prayer. She spent the evening cuddling with her son while her husband was away because she believed she would have another miscarriage.
She cried out to the Lord in frustration, asking why she kept getting pregnant when she knew she would always lose the child. “Either shut the door or let me have a kid,” she said. “You pray, and you pray, and you pray. Why is this happening?” she added.
For most of their lifetimes, Isaiah and Jacob lived in a four-bedroom, four-bathroom, and two-half-bathroom home in Brentwood, Nashville. Until 2019, their home had a tennis court, fitness facility, and wet bar.
For many months, Fisher experienced the same level of frustration, but even after experiencing numerous setbacks, Fisher was confident that God would bless them with a son called Jacob. Thankfully, the couple’s infant survived. In that instant, Underwood believed that God had heeded her pleas.
It’s interesting to note that when Underwood was younger, she never imagined marrying or having children. She was never adept with kids but was independent and content living alone. Life, however, had other ideas for her. She fell in love and relished motherhood the moment she laid eyes on her kid.
Jacob Bryan Fisher, the couple’s second child, was born in January 2019, making his parents the happiest individuals on the planet. Isaiah met his baby brother in one of the hospital photos that Underwood subsequently shared with the world.
Underwood’s life and the dynamics at home have altered since she became a mother. But she accepted motherhood with joy. Having kids undoubtedly affected her marriage, but she and Fisher continue to make an effort to spend time together.

The two sons, Underwood and Fisher, are now proud parents. For most of their lifetimes, Isaiah and Jacob lived in a four-bedroom, four-bathroom, and two-half-bathroom home in Brentwood, Nashville. Until 2019, their home had a tennis court, fitness facility, and wet bar.
They ultimately moved into their forever home, which they had built with a “wood-burning fireplace, a porch swing, and rocking chairs,” after selling the first one for $1,410,000.
The house’s living room features accents made of wood and muted neutral colors. A large cream couch frequently appears in the singer’s social media photos. Their home probably contains some antique trunks since they are avid collectors.
In the morning, as a relaxing moment before the day begins, the couple gives their kids hugs and kisses. They also try to share meals and have deep conversations with their kids.
Isaiah and Jacob have enough room to play and move around in their house. For the boys to learn to respect animals and nature, they also have a barn, a lake, a large garden, and horses. They decided to sell their previous mansion because they wanted to move to a farm and live a quieter, more tranquil life.
Underwood and Fisher also instill a strong sense of religion in their children. The couple had already thought about how to introduce religion to Isaiah and hoped for both children to have good hearts as they grew older. Added Underwood:
“Mike and I talk about teaching him how to approach everybody lovingly, even if they’re not the same, and try to say, ‘You know what? God loves them, so it should be my job to do my best to love them as well.'”
The couple typically gives their kids embraces and kisses in the morning as a relaxing moment before the day starts. They also try to eat meals together and engage in significant conversation with their kids.
At a young age, Isaiah was already conscious of his faith and occasionally discussed his love for God with his parents. His folks are ecstatic for him and couldn’t be prouder of him.
In addition to raising their children, Underwood and Fisher work hard to strengthen their bond. The artist claims that she believes her husband to be the person she was meant to spend the remainder of her life with. By communicating clearly and listening to one another, they improve their union.
However, God continues to be the center of their existence. Underwood starts her day with prayer and encourages her family to do the same daily.
At his wife’s request, the athlete gave his wife two cows for Christmas in 2020. However, buying gifts for her spouse is Underwood’s weakness. She enjoys spending the vacation with her family, despite that.
The couple also loves adult-only date nights. Red-carpet events and other special nights were captured and shared on Instagram for followers.
They also schedule days for eating out or engaging in activities like outdoor shooting. In one of his tweets, while dining out, Fisher referred to his wife as his better half.
However, God continues to be the center of their existence. Underwood starts her day with prayer and encourages her family to do the same daily. Despite the difficulties she encountered as a mother and a woman, she persevered because of her faith, and luckily, things worked out for the best for her in the end.
