Chuck Norris may be over 80, but he still acknowledges and values those who have given their lives for him. He paid tribute to his mother on her 101st birthday for being his biggest friend and living a pious life despite their father’s abandonment.
A martial arts expert, belt-holder, and accomplished actor, Chuck Norris rose to fame in the 1970s. However, his most notable accomplishments are as a devoted father and a grateful spouse.
The legendary actor is never slow to acclaim Wilma Norris, the woman who gave him life. He praises her for being a pillar in the family and raising him and his two siblings independently.

On Mother’s Day in 2021, the actor posted a touching statement about his mother. He also mentioned his wife, Gena, saying how much of an impact both ladies have had on his life. “I am overwhelmed with gratitude to God for these two incredible women’s influence in my life,” he wrote.
Interestingly, the Mother’s Day request was merely the cherry on top. Chuck’s tribute to his mother, who turned 100 on the same day, was filled with love and appreciation. Added, “I love you, Mom! Happy 100th birthday!”

Chuck previously disclosed that his mother leads a full life of devotion. Wilma prayed for his future as a family man and his professional destiny. Chuck remarked that she even prayed for me to find a woman to transform my life, and it was successful.
Sadly, Wilma never experienced easier times. She was born into extreme poverty and raised her three boys alone because their father had left them when they were young.

But she made sure that each of her sons had a good life. In addition to prayers, the mother of three instilled in them precious morals. She instilled in her boys the notion that no challenge is insurmountable while she was raising them.
Such convictions affected Chuck, and he showed it in his career as a highly successful martial artist and a major player in Hollywood.
The actor also gave his family consideration. He didn’t wander because of wealth or renown. He wed Gena in 1998, and the two had children in 2001.

Ten years later, she began showing symptoms of arthritis and was scheduled to get an MRI.
As a result, she responded to the therapy and needed round-the-clock nursing care to recover.
Chuck entered the scene without thinking. “My whole life right now is about keeping her alive,” he admitted.

The family grew closer as a result of this encounter. Because his family would always come first, Chuck became consumed with love for them rather than pursuing a job.
Wilma is honored by Chuck as she turns 101.
Despite being a family guy, Chuck is portrayed as a man who respects his mother and is constantly prepared to honor her whenever possible.
Chuck consistently expresses his respect and admiration for his mother, demonstrating her importance to his success as an actor and father.

The Norris matriarch reached 101 in May 2022, and her 82-year-old son made a public post celebrating the family’s illustrious history. He posted a picture of the celebrant wearing a yellow top with a high neck and some brown eyeglasses. The accompanying message said: “Happy Birthday, Mom! 101 years YOUNG! WOW! There are no words to describe how much I love and appreciate you. Thank you for everything you have done for us over the years. God has blessed us together.”

He’s never had any trouble expressing how he feels about his mother. Chuck had repeatedly complimented her and mentioned how she always prayed for him and that it all started when he was a baby. He said, “When I was born, I almost died from complications. When I nearly lost my soul to Hollywood a few decades ago, she was back home praying for my success and salvation.”
Wilma’s parenting style
Wilma did not have a golden childhood. She was raised in a small town in Oklahoma. She lived in such extreme poverty that she was declared a state kid at the age of eight.

Young Wilma lived in a children’s hospital for two years as she endured numerous treatments for her rare illness. With three sons, Chuck being the oldest, the Oklahoma native began a family as she got older. Their father, Ray, served in the war and came home with a missing leg and drinking issues.
He could not hold onto work due to his obsession with alcohol. Sadly, Ray’s bosses lacked faith in him, and he could not provide for his family.
Ultimately, Wilma relocated with the sons to her mother’s house in Wilson, Oklahoma. Chuck and his siblings were born and raised in a small town.

Even though it was difficult to raise a family during the Great Depression, Wilma succeeded because she never gave up on her loved ones or her religion. The actor once explained to his admirers how hopeful his mother is by saying that she has demonstrated immeasurable faith and tenacity. Wilma stayed unflappable through challenging circumstances, such as losing loved ones and going through several health crises. He joked: “Mom has been an example of perseverance and faith her whole life. She’s also endured the deaths of her two husbands, a stepson, two grandchildren, and my younger brother Wieland in the Vietnam War. She’s had cancer repeatedly and has undergone roughly 30 surgeries for various issues, yet she’s still here to tell about it.” Without a doubt, Wilma is always willing to talk about her experiences and pass them on to the younger population.

In 2012, Wilma talked about how Chuck matured quickly to set a better standard for his children during a heart-to-heart interview with Mike Huckabee on his show.
She acknowledged that she routinely took them to church and that they always observed prayer time when asked about her parenting secrets. The centenarian mentioned how important her spiritual existence is.

Her words of wisdom for newer parents were: “Give them lots of love. Take them to church and Sunday school. But you see, God didn’t give us our children. He only loaned them to us for a while.”
Chuck consistently expresses his respect and admiration for his mother, demonstrating her importance to his success as an actor and father. She did instill principles that time, money, or family could never take away.
