Melissa McCarthy is a brilliant actress, but there are far more intriguing aspects of her than just how much she weighs.
McCarthy is a comedic genius with a ton of talent who has produced, written and acted in some big-budget Hollywood films.
She and her adoring actor husband Ben Falcone, with whom she has been married since 2005, are one of Hollywood’s cutest and funniest couples and a highly talented duo.
Falcone, 49, frequently exclaims how wonderful McCarthy is while showering her with respect and admiration.
In 2021, Falcone posted a photo of the two on his Instagram with the caption, “This was taken at a friend’s wedding, maybe 14 years ago. We had a good time. It was a fun wedding, but Melissa made everything fun by being herself. I’m such a lucky fella to be married to someone so smart, kind, beautiful, and crazy funny. Happy birthday, Mooch; love you!”

Both of them appeared in Bridesmaids (2011). Through their producing company, On the Day Productions, they also worked on the films Tammy (2014), The Boss (2016), Happytime Murders (2018), and Life of the Party. (2018). More recently, the couple appeared in Falcone’s post-apocalyptic comedy God’s Favorite Idiot (2022), available on Netflix.
McCarthy, well-known for her work on TV series like Mike and Molly (2000–2007), earned the fourth position on Forbes’ list of the highest-paid actresses in 2023. (2010-2016). She has appeared in films such as Ghostbusters (2016), The Spy (2015), The Heat (2013), and Can You Ever Forgive Me? for which she was nominated for an Oscar. In this role, she played a struggling author who forges letters from dead authors. The villainous sea sorceress Ursula in Disney’s live-action The Little Mermaid will be McCarthy’s stage debut in 2023.

McCarthy, who is now 52, has received numerous honors. In 2016, Time named her one of the 100 most important people in the world, and The New York Times ranked her as the 22nd greatest actor of the twenty-first century in 2020.
McCarthy and Falcone are not your typical Hollywood pair; their humor is charming. The duo attended the Vanity Fair Oscars after-party in 2019 while sporting matching Adidas tracksuits and sneakers. “I’m sure it threw everybody into a tizzy because the idea came to me the day before the Oscars,” a decision McCarthy said received mixed reviews.
Joking about her fashion choices, told Entertainment Tonight, “It’s not (less glamorous) to me guys; I’ve doubled my diamonds, I feel great.”
People might not be aware that McCarthy is related to Jenny McCarthy, an actress, model, and TV personality. Jenny defended McCarthy in 2013 after movie critic Rex Reed attacked her cousin in a review of Identity Thief, calling her a “tractor-sized Melissa McCarthy” and a “gimmick comedian who has devoted her short career to being obese and obnoxious with equal success.”

Jenny told E! News, “That’s obnoxious in itself. For anyone to attack like that, it’s just wrong and hurtful and doesn’t do anyone any good. ” She added, “She’s very talented, and people know that, so…He can go to hell.”
McCarthy gracefully brushes off criticism of her constantly fluctuating weight while maintaining a high rating on the scale for her acting abilities.
McCarthy discussed losing weight for her part in The Boss, a screenplay she co-wrote with Falcone, who also directs, in an interview with Refinery29 in 2016. “I have, but I’ll be back again. I’ll be up and down, probably for the rest of my life. If that is the most interesting thing about me, I need to go have a lavender farm in Minnesota and give this up.”
She continued, “There has to be something more. There are so many more intriguing things about women than their butts. It can’t be the first question every time or at all…Can you imagine them asking some of these guys I work with, ‘How do you keep your butt looking so good?’”

And about stereotypes, she said, “I want to get rid of constantly categorizing. Lists give somebody a way to shove and tear down women. Those women that are always shown, that we’re all supposed to be like, is like .000009% of human beings. That’s crazy.”
McCarthy created Melissa McCarthy Seven7 to share her stunning styles with others after she struggled with fashion. Her fierce styles are still available on second-hand online commerce websites, even though production on her line, which came in sizes four to 28, has allegedly stopped.
Despite criticism, Falcone continues to make heart-melting remarks about McCarthy, the mother of their two children. In one of the captions of his Instagram photos, he said, “I told her, ‘I love you every day. But today, I love you most of all.’ And it was true.”

Melissa has mentioned in appearances that her weight will inevitably change. However, I don’t believe that should be the “most interesting” aspect of her, or anyone, to be completely honest.
“There has to be something more. ” There are so many more intriguing things about women than their butt,” she says. She’s completely correct,
I couldn’t concur more!
