Previously conjoined twin girls are being celebrated by a family in Texas.

On October 3, 2022, parents Amanda Arciniega and James Finley of Fort Worth, Texas, welcomed twins JamieLynn and AmieLynn. They were 6 months old at the time. The pair were separated at Cook Children’s Medical Centre for the first time three months later.

JamieLynn left the hospital first on March 21 and AmieLynn on April 7, the hospital previously said in a press release. The kids returned home separately around three months later.

And last weekend, to celebrate, their family organized a unique baby shower, as reported by Good Morning America, which got footage of the sweet occasion.

During their stay, Brianne Galban, the twins’ hospital nurse, was one of the visitors. She said that I can’t wait to meet their entire family and see them on GMA. Now, I adore them. Like an extension of my family, they.

Once they were discharged from the hospital and returned home, their mother answered, “Everything’s good,” when asked how they were doing.

According to Cook Children’s Medical Centre, it took 11 hours to finish the procedure that separated JamieLynn and AmieLynn three months after their birth.

Four pediatric surgeons, three anesthesiologists, and two plastic surgeons. One for each girl was among the team’s more than a dozen medical experts.

The hospital reported that AmieLynn also needed additional care after recovering from a different chest surgery.

However, a lot has changed since the twins were split up. While their mother told GMA they “still have a lot of therapy,” some family members could even hold them in the shower.

According to the source, the girl’s parents are excited about what lies ahead after already spotting their young personalities shining through.

“This is kind of the beginning again,” dad James Finley previously told NBC affiliate KXAS-TV.
“Surgery was one beginning, and now we’re going home to another beginning.”

In a statement released when the twins went home, Arciniega told the hospital, “It’s a weight lift.”

“I’m excited and happy,” the mom added. “It’s a lot of emotions.”
