Despite the unintended son, Ron Perlman is dedicated to his two children, whom he had with his ex-wife of 38 years.
At age 72, the “Hellboy” actor experienced grandparenthood for the first time.
He posts many adorable pictures to mark the birth of his first grandchild.
Ron Perlman, who was 73 then, spent some time commemorating his grandson Benicio Dean Perlman’s first Birthday on February 8, 2023. The actor’s son, Benicio Perlman’s father, Brandon Perlman, and his wife, Francesca, Ron’s daughter-in-law, attended the party.
The star’s daughter, Blake Perlman, and the young boy’s aunt were also present. Ron posted a sweet photo of his grandson, dressed warmly and smiling in the snow, as a tribute to the birthday child.
The “Hellboy” actor mentioned that his first grandson was born on that day a year ago in the photo’s caption. He said it was the day: “When my heart was forever changed” and wished the young kid, whom he called by his nickname “Benny,” a good birthday.
Blake shared a picture of herself and Benicio relaxing on the grass beneath what appeared to be a lemon tree on Instagram. She congratulated him on his first Birthday and expressed how enjoyable it had been to see the young child grow, referring to him as her “sweetest baby angel nephew” and promising to always be at his side with her love.
In addition, Blake shared on her Instagram Story that they visited the zoo for her nephew’s Birthday, giving Benicio a terrific vantage point from his father’s shoulders. The child who witnessed zebras and other animals were photographed up close.
The family came together at home to continue the festivities, and in Blake’s post, Ron was carrying two sizable soft plush animals that were gifts for the birthday child. Two cakes were given to Benicio on his Birthday.
The biggest cake was then used to help him blow out his candles. The young child also had some of his cake, and his delighted grandfather and the rest of the family recorded movies and took pictures to preserve the moment.
The single parent posted a photo of himself cuddling his son and grinning on his Instagram Story. He wished his son a happy birthday and wrote above the photo that it had been one year since they met the “love of my life.”
Similar to his father, Brandon was a loving parent. The musician was Ron’s second kid, and his father told a fascinating tale about how he was accepted into the Perlman household.
Despite his son’s “weird” birth, Ron was a wonderful father.
Three months after their Valentine’s Day date, Ron and Opal Stone, one of his mother’s children, began living together, the actor recounted in his memoir “Easy Street (the Hard Way).” For 38 years, the pair remained married.

He bragged that Stone was a gorgeous lady he’d seen and that she had given him two of the “coolest” kids. His wife was expecting Brandon, their second child, while his “Beauty and the Beast” television series was canceled in January 1990.
Ron [Perlman] stated that the image represented three generations in the post’s caption.
Although his father thought the timing of Brandon’s birth in March 1990 was “strange,” he knew that his son was the Golden Child. Sadly, the actor began venting his anger on his wife, and in 2019, after getting married on Valentine’s Day in 1981, the couple filed for divorce.

Ron’s nearly forty-year marriage ended, but he had no idea that his sorrow would give way to delight a few years later. The actor finally got to experience being a grandfather for the first time!
Ron’s Life Was Changed by Becoming a Grandpa at 72
Brandon shared a photo of his newborn baby on Instagram in 2022. Then 72-year-old Ron commented on his son’s post to express his excitement at the family’s newest member, writing: “Full blown happiness!!”
The actor posted an Instagram picture of himself holding his grandson in February 2022, captioning it, “gramps and little Benny” were having a conversation at the time. Ron came back a week later with another cuddling post.
The adoring grandfather tweeted a photo of himself holding Benicio while lounging on the couch in April 2022, showing how much he loved the young boy. All three were grinning as Brandon played with the toddler while watching.
Ron explained that the image represented three generations in the post’s caption. By November of that same year, the group was reunited at a wharf on Lake Como in Italy, surrounded by boats.
