The name Alec and Hilaria Baldwin chose for their seventh child has drawn some criticism from the couple. Some fans have referred to it as “Disgusting.”
On September 22, Alec Baldwin and his wife Hilaria had their seventh child, and the happy mother did not waste a moment telling her followers the exciting news.
“She’s here! We are so excited to introduce you to our tiny dream come true,”
A video Hilaria posted on YouTube shows the baby’s older siblings interacting with her for the first time.
Hilaria’s announcement of the name for her new child came with good news, but it was met with criticism.
You may wonder why. Well, Hilaria has been under fire recently since a video of her seemed to show her losing her Spanish accent. It is said that when she presented herself as Spanish, she did it falsely. She stated that she was born and raised in Mallorka, Spain, and did not move to the United States until she was 19 to attend university. However, this may not be entirely true, as many people claim that she attended school with them in the United States well before she reached that age.
“You have to admire Hilaria Baldwin’s commitment to her decade-long grift where she impersonates a Spanish person,” tweeted user @lenirbriscoe before sharing clips of Hilaria speaking of married life with a marked Spanish accent and forgetting, on a cooking show, the English word for cucumber.
“This woman grew up in Massachusetts,” the user added.
Having stated this, people were angry when they found that the youngest Baldwin was given a Spanish name, Ilaria Catalina Irena Baldwin, just like the surnames of her siblings. This name was given to the youngest, Baldwin.
“Her obvious attempt to speak Spanish is irritating; why is it acceptable?” Why does she keep trying? “Have they let it go to their heads that much?” someone wrote. The name Ilaria is Italian for “Hilary” and means cheerful.
Hilaria was very active on social media while pregnant, posting photos and regular updates for her fans.
Hilaria revealed the following when asked how it feels to be a mother to seven children:
“When people ask or comment, we often make silly and self-deprecating jokes on my part. I love to laugh at myself—so it’s all good…keeps me sane.”
She continued,
“All jokes aside, however, I am grateful for this experience. I know the joys, losses, beauty, and heartache motherhood brings. I have learned to respect and embrace the wonderful, the hard, the uncomfortable, the magical, and the unknown of this incredible process I am so blessed to experience again and again.”
Alec remarked in response.
“You are very special, and I hope your children are as special as you.”
Many co”gratulations on your new baby.
