In his late 60s, Kevin Costner places a significant value on spending time daily with his wife of 18 years and their seven children.
The actor from “Yellowstone” was scared to become a father after age 50, but his love for his wife helped him overcome his concerns and go through with the pregnancy.
On his 68th birthday, he wrote a heartfelt post saying thanks.

Yesterday was Kevin Costner’s 68th birthday, and to celebrate the event, he posted a photo to Instagram in honor of the day. In the comment, he expressed his gratitude to everyone who had wished him a happy birthday and added that becoming older allowed one to improve with time and that “each passing year is a gift.” The photo he uploaded showed him smiling broadly while wearing a cowboy hat.
The Real Reason Costner Cares So Much About His Life
With whom Costner had been in a relationship since college; Cindy Silva was Costner’s first wife. However, in 1994, they ended their marriage and divorced, leaving three children among them. After that, he had an affair with Bridget Rooney, and the two finally had a kid from their relationship.

He is married to Christine Baumgartner, and together they have brought three children into the world. Costner is the father of seven children from three different women. He jokes that there is no age when you quit having to raise your children since it is an ongoing battle. Costner is the father of seven children.
Costner is aware that even though he has led a life that not many people would understand, he has been lucky to have the experiences he has had and to make the mistakes he has made because they have taken him to the place where he is now.

When asked about his perspective on life and what it meant to him to make mistakes while at the same time being appreciative of the experiences, he stated:
“The only thing I can do with my regrets is to understand them.” When I see my children and those who value me, I know how lucky I am. I think, ‘Where did all that luck come from?” “And so I give thanks for the life I’ve lived.”
After that, Costner expressed his wish to live forever, even though he was well aware of his ability to do so. He affirmed that despite his desire to live forever, he does not feel the least afraid of dying. He does, however, have a concern.

When asked about not being afraid of death or what may come after it, Costner stated that his only fear was that he wouldn’t be able to raise his children. This was said in the context of not being afraid of death or what might come after it. He wants to remain present for his children through their youth and early adolescence.
He admitted that one of the things he begged for in his prayers was to be the one who would be responsible for raising his three young kids. The famous actor has been reported to have stated that he is proud of his children and wants to be there for them whenever they require his support.

Costner has never hidden his passion for life and credits a big part of his enthusiasm to his children. He explained that if he permitted himself to focus on the possibility of passing away and being unable to be there for his young children, he would get on the ground with them and play.
Even though he doesn’t have to do as much now that his kids are older, he’s thankful he had a second chance at being a father and a husband when he married Baumgartner. Now that his children are older, he doesn’t have to do as much as he used to.

He met his present wife while on vacation, but they didn’t start dating until six years later. Even though he already had three kids at the time, he was confident that he would have more children with her by his side.
Costner overcame his fear of becoming an old dad.
Even though Costner loves his kids and loves being a father, he is anxious about having children later in life. At 52, he had five children and expressed his worries to the general public.

He expressed his wish to have as much energy for his fifth child as he did for his first and noted that he might pass away before guiding his child through life or seeing him reach all of his milestones.
In response to a question about what he had learned about raising children in his 22 years of fatherhood, Costner cracked a joke:
“I can fake like I’m asleep longer, so I don’t have to do as many diapers.”

The actor admitted that he didn’t marry his current wife for years because he knew she wanted children, and he was unsure whether or not he would be able to be the kind of father that their children would need.
The couple broke up because of this, but Baumgartner told him she would wait for him to come to his senses. She warned that she wouldn’t wait long. Eventually, he returned to her, and the pair tied the knot and completed their family.
