After 45 hours, there is some Hope.

When rescuers discovered the young boy, his face was covered in dust. It was hard for the rescuers to find him since his face was visible, and his entire body was buried beneath the rubble.

He called out for more after taking a sip.

Since he was buried in concrete, detaching him was difficult for the individuals who sought his help. The small youngster had gone almost two days without food, drink, or rest, and he was already weak.

Trying Everything to Get the Boy Out of There

Before continuing with the rescue operation, which was likely to take quite a while, the rescuers started giving Mohammed a little water since they didn’t plan on giving up on rescuing him. Since it would have been too much for Mohammed to take if they had given him an entire bottle of water, they poured some water into the top and handed it to him to drink from.

Muhammed was shown on video by rescue workers drinking from a bottle cap while unable to move from the neck down. After tasting it, he started sobbing and pleading for more.

Ekrem Imamoglu, the mayor of Istanbul, shared the heartbreaking video on Twitter to show the world that there are still people in northern Syria and southeast Turkey who have stories of hope despite the heartbreaking situation.
