Roseanne Barr has drawn criticism for being fat and old.

The actress has come to terms with who she is and accepts herself.

Her partner has been by her side for the last two decades and has provided aid.

Roseanne Barr, who used to be a popular TV actress but is now in her seventies, is the subject of relentless body shaming on various social media platforms. Nonetheless, her partner of 20 years still accepts her even though she has altered her looks.


The famous actress has openly said she does not mind getting older, yet, trolls on social media have insulted her looks, called her names, and claimed that she is old.

Twitter users used the service to comment about Barr’s looks and previous behaviors. “Roseanne Barr is an attention-seeking, washed-up, old bird who is plain RACIST. She belongs to an America that should be forgotten forever,” one person tweeted.

A second person commented that the comic was “crazy old” and “ought to be ignored.” A third commentator said: “When I call Roseanne Barr a fat pig, I’ll just blame Ambien.”

Barr had tried to stay out of the spotlight as much as possible since May 2018, when she tweeted and then deleted a racist post about Valerie Jarrett, who used to work for Barack Obama.

Barr responded to criticism by claiming that she had made the tweet while taking Ambien and that she had not known Jarrett was black.

The former “Roseanne” cast member has since returned to social media and posted an Instagram photo in March 2021. The producer posted a photo of herself on social media platforms wearing a dress with a leopard print in color red and striking a pose outside her home in Hawaii. It has the following caption:


“Feeling good, looking better.”

Barr has undergone an incredible change, including changing her hairstyle and dyeing it blonde, among other things. When she went to the American Comedy Awards in 1987, she wore a black jumpsuit, and her hair was teased, a trend from the 1980s.

She continued to try new styles with her hair, as shown by the fact that she rocked a mullet hairstyle in 1990 while shooting “Roseanne.” Barr wore bangs and a bow on her head for the show’s Season 6 photo shoot in 1994.

During the Lane Bryant Fashion Show in 2001, the Utah native presented herself with a bob haircut and a dress with a cheetah print on it. On the red carpet of the TV Land Awards in 2008, Barr began to accept the natural graying of her hair to keep up with the natural step of the aging process. In 2014, the author attended another event that required her to walk a red carpet, and she did so with curls in her hair and cheetah gloves as decorations for her all-black attire.

When Barr went to a charity event in 2015, she went for a style that old Hollywood influenced by having her blonde hair cut short and pinned back.

A winner of the Emmy Award walked the red carpet at the 75th Annual Golden Globe Awards in 2018 wearing a long black dress with matching shoes and a curled-up hairdo.

After the controversy she created on Twitter in 2020, Barr started posting images of herself on other social media platforms, this time with her long gray hair styled in waves. Her most recent social media image, posted in 2021, showed her wearing a figure-hugging dress with a cheetah print while also showcasing her gray hair.

During an interview on the “TODAY” show in 2014, the inter-winning Hollywood star revealed her weight loss process openly and honestly, as reported by Closer Weekly: In her words:

“I just want to keep getting healthy and let go of excess baggage to carry around, so I’m lighter on my feet and in my life.”

In addition to keeping a healthy diet and letting go of excess baggage, Barr has made peace with aging and now likes having gray hair. She does not hide that she is getting a bit older, as other people do; she is not afraid of it. While he was running for president, the former candidate once said:

In addition, Barr stated in March 2007 that she would stop dyeing her hair and instead embrace her naturally silvery threads. In the past, she had either black or platinum blonde hair.

Another person who appreciates Barr’s looks is her romantic partner of twenty years, whom she met in 2002 when she ran a writing competition for her blog. She once talked about him in an interview with the Guardian in October 2008:

“My boyfriend and I are kindred spirits. He is feminine in a way. When he used to write for me, he lived in the desert. He was like a hermit just with his books.”

Barr revealed that she and her lover spoke on the phone for 12 months before they met in person. “I fell in love with his voice,” she gushed. Before their initial meeting, he had never sent her a photo of himself, and she told him that it did not matter what he looked like.

Finally, they decided to meet, and she waited for him at the airport in the car. Barr admitted that she went gaga over him once he opened the door:


“I was thinking, ‘Why have I done this?’ He opened the door, and I almost lost my mind. He was the most handsome man I’ve ever seen.”

Barr’s longtime boyfriend is a composer and writer Johnny Argent, whom she started dating in 2003. Although the couple never married, they’ve been living together in Hawaii.

The “She-Devil” star has been married three times. She married her first husband, actor Ben Pentland, in 1974, but the pair divorced in 1990. They have two daughters, Jessica and Jennifer, and a son, Jake Pentland.

Barr married for the second time to another actor, Tom Arnold, in 1990, and they divorced in 1994. The mother of five walked down the aisle for the third time with actor Ben Thomas in 1995. They welcomed a son named Buck Thomas together. However, they divorced in 2002. Barr also has a daughter named Brandi Brown.
