At the age of 108, a man met his great-great-grandson. He felt incredibly blessed to learn that the kid was named after him because the memorable experience meant the world to him.

Esmond Allcock was close to becoming a senior citizen of Canada in 2018. The husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, born in 1910, led a long and fruitful life. He tried to maintain contact with everyone because his family was important to him.

In honor of her great-grandfather, Jenna Lehne named her kid Esmond. Over three decades, he never left her life. Baby Esmond had the opportunity to meet his older relatives, which is a rare opportunity for kids.

BABY WAS NAMED AFTER HIM

Lehne thought back to how her great-grandfather had assisted her in learning to crawl as she requested to “Walk Walk.” He informed his friends and family about her first child’s impending arrival as soon as he learned of it. He was ecstatic and proud.

He said something strange after she told him she was having another son. None of his 71 offspring, he told his wife, were given his name. Lehne and her husband immediately decided that their second child would bear his name.

A VERY SPECIAL MOMENT

When Lehne was able, she took the infant to meet her great-grandfather. The encounter did not turn out as expected. “When we got there, he didn’t know who I was,” she added. He was familiar with my grandparents but unsure of me.

Despite this, he was captivated by infant Esmond and delighted in cuddling the young child. Lehne was the young child he used to “Walk Walk” with, he suddenly realized as they were still in the thick of their visit. For her, it was a unique occasion.

THE BABY AND GRANDFATHER BONDED

The relationship between Esmond Senior and Junior enhanced the family stay experience. As he connected with the newest family member, the great-grandfather was overcome with emotion.

He continued, “You don’t know what this means to me.” Lehne still considered herself fortunate to have him in her life and felt the same way. She claimed that he frequently asked about the baby and requested updates.

THE REACTION ONLINE

Lehne said: “Once the snow melts, we’ll be on our way to visit him again. It will be great-great-grandpa Esmond, little Ez, and the ‘Walk Walk’ girl.” The story also touched netizens.

An individual commented, “Adorable bond and touching story.” Some people described it as a pleasant experience and said, “I miss my grandpa.” Another person wrote: “I know he was honored.” It was an experience Esmond Senior will never forget.
